Silver Bracelets are a fashion "staple". There are a multitude of styles available... cuff, bangle, chain, charm, diamond, gemstone - whatever your taste, there is something for everyone.

When considering which to buy, consider first the quality. Do you want a fun, trendy piece that isn't supposed to last a life-time? Or are you ready to invest in a classic piece that you fully intend on wearing forever? The trendy pieces can be purchased for considerbly less by buying silver-plated jewelry. Just know that the finish will most likely tarnish or wear off fairly easily - especially if you're not diligent about not exposing it to water and wearing it daily. When purchasing classic or "investment" pieces, always look for the 925 stamp. This is a sign that the silver you are puchasing is 92.5% sterling silver and 7.5% other (usually copper) metal. Pure sterling silver is very soft and maliable, not good for jewelry, but adding just the right amount of the other metal(s) makes it strong enough for years of wear, while maintaining the beauty of the silver.

Right now, the look of silver bracelets is stacked and layered. Mix and match your pieces - wear several chains or bangles togther - mix your chains - even wrap a necklace around your wrist several times to create a multi-chain look! And, bigger is better - large link chains (often with leather woven thru the links) are all over the fashion magazines. There are even designers creating "multi-tasking" removable chains on handbags that can be worn as bracelets!

Most importantly, the jewelry you choose and wear should make you feel good. Fashion trends can come and go, so shop around, find bracelets that that you think are great and build your jewelry wardrobe around them (sprinkling in a few inexpensive "fun" pieces when the fancy strikes!).
